Park bench dedications
Do you, your friend or loved one have a favourite spot to sit within the Parklands? Why not celebrate this spot with a dedicated park bench.
Benches are available at various locations around the Parklands, with exact locations at times subject to a number of environmental and heritage constraints. However we'll work with you to find that perfect location to sit and enjoy the view.
We have two park bench options available:
1. Park-special dedicated park bench
A $5,000 donation will secure a modern, contemporary park bench, including a plaque affixed to the bench with wording in accordance with the wishes of the donor (subject to approval).
Dedicating a bench is an ideal gift for the person who loves to sit, listen and reflect or simply to acknowledge your own special place in the Parklands.
2. Premium Formal Garden park bench
The Formal Gardens are some of the most popular locations in the Parklands and there are are now a limited number of benches available for dedication in this special place.
Column Garden and Rose Garden benches will have a premium finish and will be fixed to a sandstone base to maintain a sympathetic design with the surrounding gardens.
A $7,500 donation will secure a premium bench in the Formal Gardens. The dedication includes a plaque affixed to each bench, with wording in accordance with the wishes of the donor (subject to approval).
