Fuzzy Donates New Tree for Centennial Park

Posted: Friday 28 May 2010

Parklands Senior Arborist, Ted Hoare (second from left), with the Fuzzy team at the tree planting ceremonyFuzzy, Australia’s biggest music event organisers gathered today in Centennial Park at 3pm for a tree-dedication ceremony. The team donated a beautiful  Lemon-scented Gum to the park’s Inner Circle Project – a scheme developed by the Park’s Trust to buy new trees for Sydney’s most-loved commons.

Fuzzy’s inner circle Adelle Robinson, John Wall and Ming Gan took the silver spade to finish off the mulch around the young tree, attended by 15 of Fuzzy’s team, Centennial Parklands Foundation Development Manager Joanna Cuthbert and the Parkland’s Senior Arborist Ted Hoare. The Parklands were very grateful for the donation, as they receive just 7% of their funding from the NSW State Government and rely on private generosity.

Fuzzy’s donation to the Parkland marks the beginning of a series of green initiative that the team are developing to put in place at their national Parklife festival which kicks off later this year.

The much anticipated line-up for Parklife www.parklife.com.au will be announced in just a couple of weeks, with the national dates expected to be released early next week.
