Last chance to see the Night Garden exhibition - closes Sunday 6 June 2010!
The popular photographic exhibition, the Night Garden, which has been on show at the Superindent's Residence in Centennial Park has brought a great response from park goers and supporters.
The photographer behing the exhibition, Peter Solness, reflected on the impact the show has made now it is nearing its conclusion.
'There has been such a positive reaction to this exhibition. I think it's possibly the result of a happy convergence of Art (me), History (the sandstone residence) and a beautiful Environment (the Park) around us.' said Peter.
'There are a lot of like-minded souls walking through this door, who already understand the value of trees and the environment as a whole - something which my work actively seeks to celebrate.'
'Beauty is the word that has been most often used in these past few weeks. It is a description that I'm happy to receive as I feel the driving force behind what I'm wanting to do is remind people of the inherant beauty of Sydney and Centennial Park . The park really is one of this city's great assets.'
The exhibition's Comments Book attest to Peter's observations, with entries such as: 'How surreal and energising. A privilege. Thank you' and 'Trees are life and you have brought them to life' being indicative of the response of visitors to the images on display.
The exhibition will close its doors on Sunday 6 June 2010 at 4.00 pm.
For the final week Peter is offering to increase his current Centennial Parklands Foundation donation from sales of his work, from 20% to 25%, for anyone who mentions the Foundation when they place an order.
Don't miss out on this wonderful exhibition - see here for more detail.
