Centennial Parklands
Posted: 28 November 2011
Over two days, more than 110 visitors enjoyed an opportunity to taste a range of stunning boutique wines and take advantage of cellar door sales from winemaker Alex Retief.
Situated in the historic Superintendent's Residence in Centennial Park, Alex was on hand to discuss the art of winemaking and the varieties found in his cool climate vineyards - including “The Alias” Mataro from the Hilltops and a barrel sample of the 2011 A. Retief Tumbarumba Chardonnay.
Alex was keen to demonstrate his support for the Parklands through providing the wine supply at the recent 'Cocktails in the Park' fundraiser, and 5% of sales from the weekends event came to the Foundation.
We'd like to thank Alex for his fantastic support in supporting your parklands.
