Morning tea for volunteers

On 26 November 2011, the Parklands’ volunteers attended a ‘Thank you morning tea’ event at the Centennial Parklands’ Learning Centre.

Peter Hadfield, Executive Officer of the Centennial Parklands Foundation, announced volunteering as the newest addition to the foundation governance and informed the group of the Parklands’ new corporate restructure and direction.

Volunteers enjoyed refreshments and were presented with certificates of appreciation throughout the event.

True to form, several volunteers ended their day by conducting bird surveys, weeding the nursery, measuring water quality and even tagging a few carp.

We are greatly appreciative and proud of the work that the volunteers have achieved over the year, and look forward to fostering our relationship further in 2012.
