Second annual Evergreen Dinner a growing success

Posted: 4 November 2009

The second annual Evergreen Dinner, held in the Centennial Parklands Restaurant on 29 October 2009, has raised over $80,000 towards the new Inner Circle tree project in Centennial Park. Find out more about the Inner Circle tree project.

Guests were entertained thoroughly by MC James O'Loghlin, and experienced a fantastic menu from some of Sydney's most prominent and awarded chefs. Guests were treated to a behind the scenes preview of each course via “KitchenCam”, courtesy of the Seven Network.

Our guest speaker for the evening, Senior Arborist Ted Hoare, was so well received a bid of $6,000 bid was made in an impromptu auction for lunch with Ted!

The room was styled by Form Over Function and the centrepiece of each table was a native bonsai tree, a miniature version of those which fill the Parklands beyond.

Innovative Production Services brought the venue to life by displaying evocative images of the park and washing the trees and building in beautiful colour.

The Foundation was delighted with the response from this event and would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in putting on the dinner.
