Centennial Parklands
The Foundation is grateful for the support of each and every benefactor.
The Centennial Parklands Foundation is very grateful to Bondi Junction based advertising agency Vitamin X for its generous pro-bono support.
In 2007 the Foundation's Tree Transplant Appeal campaign, developed by Vitamin X, won a major award at the Australian Direct Marketing Association’s annual awards in Melbourne.
This win was significant because it was judged not only on the basis of the creative thinking but also the effectiveness of the campaign with regard to the level of donations received in response to the Appeal.
The award places the Transplant Appeal in an elite group of other winners that includes campaigns produced by some of Australia’s largest and best known advertising agencies.
In May 2008, the Foundation launched a new communication campaign called ‘The Seven Leaves’. Vitamin X developed the concept and designed the marketing material which promoted the seven ways the public can support the Foundation’s work.
The campaign was launched at Jack Johnson’s 2008 concert and featured environmentally friendly collateral made from Moreton Bay Fig leaves harvested from within the Parklands and stamped with the Foundation’s website address. These were strung on raffia necklaces and given as a reminder to visitors who expressed an interest in making donations at a later date.
The sight of hundreds of people wearing beautiful leaf necklaces also helped promote the Foundation to the 38,000 strong crowd.
