Centennial Park receives the stormwater runoff from the four surrounding Local Government areas. Not only does the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust need to raise money for servicing of the required Gross Pollutant Traps but it pays for disposal of the litter trapped.
However, some litter does get through the traps and collects around the edges of our ponds. Volunteers assist Centennial Parklands with pond litter pickup.
Volunteers are provided with a site induction, including OH&S briefing, and relevant information about the location they will be working.
