Foundation Dinner

$95,000 RAISED AT THE PARK DINNER

On Wednesday 8 October Centennial Parklands Foundation held its annual fundraising dinner, The Park Dinner, presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The glamorous function launched the Foundation’s campaign to raise the remaining $1 million for The Ian Potter Children’s Wild Play Garden and a staggering $95,000 was pledged in just a few short hours.

The sold out event, MC'd by Sally Obermeder, was attended by Centennial Parklands Foundation ambassadors, Greig Pickhaver (“H.G. Nelson”) and Michael (“Wippa”) and Lisa Wipfli and special guest Marta Dusseldorp. As well as Centennial Parklands Foundation Chair Rebekah Giles and her fellow Governors, Executive Director Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands Kim Ellis, and Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust Chair, Tony Ryan. Along with many loyal donors and local supporters.

The formal dinner was proudly supported by presenting sponsor Jaeger-LeCoultre, Centennial Parklands Dining (a member of the Trippas White Group), Taylors Wines and Coco Republic. Joseph Murray, Managing Director, Trippas White Group says “It was a great honour to host The Park Dinner for the seventh year. To be able to support The Ian Potter Children’s Wild Play Garden is very rewarding. An initiative that inspires children to let their imaginations run wild is one that is close to our hearts. We look forward to continuing our support of the Centennial Parklands Foundation and local community through Centennial Parklands Dining and Queens Park Shed”.

Rebekah Giles says “This campaign is an opportunity to be a part of creating a living legacy for our children, grandchildren and for all the children of today and tomorrow. We are now 10% closer to the remaining target and I encourage everyone to get involved”.

THANK YOU
Our sincere thanks go to our sponsors, special guests, Event Committee and everyone involved for their generosity and support and for making this special night a great success.
