Introducing new Chair, Ilan Israelstam

Following Fiona de Jong’s recent move to Italy, the Foundation Board has appointed Ilan Israelstam as the new Chair.

Ilan is an accomplished entrepreneur and businessman. He is a Co-Founder of BetaShares, one of Australia’s leading fund managers, and is a Principal of Apex Capital Partners, as well as Chair of the Sydney Jewish Museum Foundation. Ilan lives in Centennial Park with his wife and three young children and feels incredibly fortunate to have such a magnificent park on his doorstep.

“The Parklands are such an important part of my life - and my family and I (including our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog, Rainbow!) can be found utilising parts of the wonderful green space almost daily. I am delighted to be able to contribute to its future now as Chair of the Foundation, particularly with our ambitious plans to create a world-class nature education centre. It is going to be a very exciting few years, and I would encourage anyone who wants to contribute in any way to get in touch with me.”
